Bronx, NY Digital Artist, Roz Fruchtman has a plan — and a dream —  to help bring Jewish Troops home for Passover, if not in person, virtually through her Judaic eCards Club:

Say It With eCards Judaic Greetings (aka Say It With eCards)

Roz is offering 100 of her “Annual” Say It With eCards Club memberships to 100 Jewish Troops away from home at holiday time.

Roz knows the value and capabilities of eCards.  Roz says:  “eCards are like “shooting missiles of love, friendship, comfort and compassion,” traveling through the darkened hills and valleys of the “Information Super Highway” — fondly known to us as the Internet — to their intended recipient(s).
eCards can travel as close as next door or as far as the other end of the world to an isolated tent on a military base.

Roz’s goal is to provide a way for Jewish Troops to  “reconnect” with their loved ones, family members, friends and business associates back home through the Say It With eCards website.

Aside from eCards being able to be sent on whim, in-the-moment,  Say It With eCards offers capabilities to include voice messages within the eCards as well as using one’s own images as the eCard cover.  Imagine a troop sending an eCard containing their picture and voice message.  Imagine the impact it would have on their recipient(s).  It would be the next best thing to being there in person.  Of course, being able to send the cards without those personal touches would be amazing as well.  It adds an element of elegance instead of just Plain Jane emails to wish recipients a happy holiday.

Besides, the Troops are busy people, doing important work.  Say It With eCards offers more than 4,000 Judaic Themed eCards to choose from in a variety of everyday categories as well as the traditonal Judaica:  birthdays, anniversaries, get well, thinking of you, mother’s day / father’s day, etc. etc.

As for convenience, soldiers can program the cards to be sent on pre-arranged dates.  For example:  Today is April 1, 2008.  The soldier has a few moments today to set up their Passover eCards.  They have a list of 25.  They set them up and then tell the system to send them on April 19, 2008 or whatever date they choose.  The cards are now set to be received on that date.  They will NOT be sent before and will arrive on time.  The soldier now goes about his/her business and knows their loved ones, friends, families and business associates will not be forgotten in case they are too busy to remember.

If you are reading this, please help Roz fulfill her dream to make a difference in our Troops lives.  The gift of communication is so much more powerful during times of war and separation.
