I do not know about you, but I feel like I’ve been through the war of a lifetime:

• a 21-month Presidential Battle for the White House, the longest and dirtiest, of which I can remember
• a tanking stock market and depressive economy

It seems as if there is doom and gloom lurking in every nook, cranny and corner.  If there is a space, there it is peeking out at us!

I’VE HAD IT… NO MORE… I AM FINISHED…

I want to smile again (really smile)… I want to laugh again (really laugh)… MOST OF ALL… “I want to bring joy, peace and happiness to those I love and care about,  AND… even to those I do not know yet!

It’s Friday again…  Shabbos is here again… the one normalcy we can count on.  As sure as Friday comes after Thursday, the Jewish Sabbath begins at sundown every Friday evening.

EVERY vote is important… we learned that in 2000!

In less than a week, on Sunday November 2, 2008 at 2am we will be “pushing the clocks BACK” an hour for Standard Savings Time.  Yuck!  I hate it!

It always feels like I am being robbed of my precious time.  Of course that is silly as we still have the same 24 hours, but… The weather is colder, the days are shorter and it is usually dark by 4:30 in the afternoon. I truly cannot find anything good about this scenario!

Maybe it is me, but I do not think so…  How do you feel about the shorter days?

Today, October 18, 2008 is “Sweetest Day!”

Since I deal in feelings and design eCards, it disturbs me that hardly anyone knows about Sweetest Day!

Maybe it should appear on our calendars.  Hmm… Who does one call to get a holiday added to our calendars?  Anyone?

It just seems to me…  with all the doom, gloom, genuine fear, fear tactics, etc. flying around these days… it would be nice to have something cheerful and pleasant to celebrate! 

While we should do this everyday…

What better day than “Sweetest Day” to tell those who have been “sweet” to us how much we appreciate them.  Now, there are many versions of sweet – kind, patient, helpful, thoughtful, caring, you can add your own to the list.  In fact, comment here and share them with all of us.

Today, Saturday October 18, 2008 is Sweetest Day…

Coming from a family who rarely offered a kind word, any encouragement or emotional support or stability… Sweetest Day and its meaning is NOT lost on me!  What about you?
