Here in NYC, it is sunny and hot.  But such a lovely day to be alive and consider all of life’s blessings – both big and small.

Life is So Fragile

With each passing day we become more and more aware of how fragile life is. We just need to turn on the TV, listen to our favorite News Show and even in our own daily lives.  It has become more painfully evident how true these saying are: “Here one minute, gone the next,” or, “In the blink of an eye!”

For this reason I have become even more aware of the “Power of Now!”  How we need to “communicate in-the-moment” and NOT wait until tomorrow, the next holiday, event or occasion.

For these reasons, I believe eCards are more important than ever! I see them as missiles of love, caring and communication, traveling through CyberSpace to their intended recipients.  Even a quick hello can brighten up an otherwise dreary day!

Enough of the morbid…   Let’s move on to June’s Happy Holidays and Events.

Flag Day — Saturday, June 14, 2008

For those living in American.  Flag Day is a Day to Honor and Pay Tribute to the great Flag of the United States of America. 

This is a fabulous time to reach out and keep in touch.  No matter how we may feel about the war ourselves, we still have to remember our boys and girls who are in harms way each day (24/7) fighting to protect our freedom, liberty and justice for all.  Worse yet are the ones who paid the ultimate price or became maimed in the line of duty.  And let us not forget the families left behind to carry on.

Memorial Day holds many meanings for me.  The most vivid being when I was researching my very first Memorial Day Tribute…  Memorial Day in CyberSpace.  Until that time… Memorial Day, for me meant the “start of the summer!”  As much as it shames me to admit it, it’s honest!

To me Memorial Day is not just a day to remember our heroes and heroines, but also those lost to us personally as well as those lost through acts of terrorism, violence and misfortunes, etc.
So on this weekend I do my best to make available a variety of Memorial Day eCards:

In The Moment?  What’s This All About?

As much as we all want to consider ourselves thoughtful, caring and loving…  Sometimes we just forget!  Try sending a paper graduation card “in-the-moment” and have it arrive “right now!”  It is one of life’s impossibilities.  It just CANNOT happen — unless you deliver it yourself!   But… With electronic eCards you can send off a card and have it received a few moments later – or when your recipient is on the computer.

As much as we all want to be considered gracious and understanding, we are all human beings.  We have feelings and yes, we feel neglected… when we are NOT remembered or when we feel/think we should have been remembered.
