Gut Yomtov: (Happy Holiday)

Tu B’Shvat is a Jewish Holiday. It is a happy holiday and is also known as:

  • Rosh Hashanah of the Trees
  • New Year of the Trees
  • Birthday of the Trees
  • Happy Birthday for the Trees

Tu B’Shvat is usually late January or early February. It marks the beginning of Spring in Israel.

In some places the ground warms and the buds begin to bloom, thus renewal and growth. Where the ground is still cold and hard, people may grow plants indoors.

Some traditional Tu B’Shvat fruits are fruits from the trees like: oranges, grapefruits, dates, pomegranates, figs and carob fruit.

Tu B’Shvat begins this evening at sundown – Sunday February 8, 2009

Say It With eCards offers a wide selection of Tu B’Shvat eCards. Click the links below to visit the site and send yours.
